'twas a day.
on the upside, i bought fish! 5 green tiger barbs, 3 rosy tetras (2 long finned and 1 short), 10 neon tetras, and 2 angelfish. they are so happy! fish are just happy things to watch, so happy and colourful and full of swimming goodness. happy happy happy. (this comes after not having anything other than lazy bottom-feeding catfish for over two years.)
then later i went to skippers with special boy and his parents. i mention this for the irony. ;) and for the tasty shrimp i ate.
i spent most of the evening braiding special boy's hair. not, yaknow, one single braid, as that would've taken way less than the whole evening. no, all in all, i braided for about three and a half hours. !!! but it's fun to do. don't think it's easy though; the hardest part is getting a good layout of the braids and making sure the parts/sections are not only evenly sized, but symmetrical on both sides of the head. and yaknow, his hair is waay long now, so even with the braids his hair still has good length. it's a fun hairstyle to have; can't say it's for me but it certainly fits his rock-star self.
sitting in the parking lot of a grocery store waiting for special boy's parents to get done shopping, one of the boy's friends found him (us) in the car. i was shocked because this is the first time in, well, in a very long time that one of his friends has willingly acknowledged me. not that all his friends hate me. but, i'd venture a guess that at least a few of them aren't glad i'm still in the picture.
and on the flip side, well,
'twas a day.
if i could eat icecream, i would so be crushing on a quarter-pint of tin lizzy right about now.
Saturday, January 24
*sigh*
