Horoscope Excerpts

After my last post, I really was curious about what my horoscope looked like right now. I don't have any paid subscriptions to any fancy horoscope service, but what I could find for free from Astrodienst was encouraging, and perhaps a bit enlightening. Here's some excerpts...

Uranus square Uranus
It is necessary for you to experience your own individuality by asserting it against someone else's. There is nothing wrong in this because you need to be on your own and find your own ways of doing things, unhampered by the ways of the past, which may no longer be appropriate. Even if you do not go through an especially rebellious phase, this will still be a time of intense and rapid change, when you go out into the world and pursue your own goals without the comfort and security of doing what your elders tell you.

Saturn square Mars
Your ambitions in various areas may provoke others to try to stop you because they feel threatened. This may happen in any area of your life; most commonly it will affect your work and social life, but it can also affect your personal and domestic life. You must not get discouraged by the failures you experience at this time. This period will not last, and you can consider it a testing time for yourself and your ambitions.

Saturn opposition Moon
This influence represents an "alienation crisis," brought about by the discovery that you have been neglecting your emotional and psychological needs. As a result you feel alone and disconnected from others, like an alien in the world whom no one else can ever adequately understand. You must make your personal life and your profession or other central purpose work together. That will require changing your lifestyle so that you can pay equal attention to both.

Jupiter square Sun
Basically this influence is a test of your discipline and self-restraint. If you are not a restrained person, you will react to this influence by going overboard in some way, overextending yourself or living in a fool's paradise where you think nothing can go wrong. But this time can also provide a chance for real growth and expanded opportunities. It is a matter of how much control you have over yourself. You have to know precisely where you are and what your real needs are in order to take the most advantage of this time. You also have to know when you can't handle anything more.

Jupiter conjunction Uranus
This is a time of surprises and sudden opportunities, and you will strive now for a kind of freedom you have never known before. It may mean a sudden break or opportunity from an entirely unexpected area of your life. This influence can also open your eyes to new possibilities. Its consciousness-expanding nature can help you see situations from a totally different angle, and you may think of solutions to the problems that you have had to face. You can expect a sudden broadening of the scope of your life and the opportunity to encounter life from a new, richer and broader perspective.

Neptune square Mars
Under this influence you may get involved in situations from which you will emerge as a loser, especially in your work and at home. Be careful not to get involved with any dubious schemes, and make sure that any project you do get into is real. Defeats may make you feel discouraged, but don't take them too seriously. Remember that the more you identify with what you do rather than what you are, the more difficulties this influence will cause. You are not what you do. This influence may force you to confront that issue, and if it does, you will learn to handle your life much more successfully because you will not always have to protect yourself.

That last one, Neptune square Mars, supposedly doesn't take effect until late March of this year. So theoretically I have a couple months before I should really be worrying about shady deals. Nonetheless, I found that advice to be very sage, and something I should always take to heart. Overall though, hmm, I guess that's about what I expected my astrological forecast to be saying. It's kind of encouraging, in its way. Like I said before, things should get interesting.
